House Piedmont

Project Description
/

Conversion, refurbishment and extension of a 1935 health facility pavilion into a single family home. One of the principal drivers of the brief was to test whether a building developed during the Fascist regime (with a markedly different function) could be transformed into an attractive modern house suitable for a family with young children. The project has been published in Architecture Today, Case da Abitare and in MD and represents a point of departure for the development of the practice's ideas about residential architecture and working with existing buildings.
